A concept of society as a system of information interaction is pro-posed in this collective monograph. In the opinion of the authors a social system is by its nature an information structure which is an organic com-plex of information interactions between social subjects. The development of social information basis forms of the social results in separating infor-mation structures and processes from substrate carriers that generated them and turns them into a parallel social world, the world of virtual social reality. The authors’ concept is based on a model of a social interaction system as a unity of actual and virtual social action which is an initial elementary construct.
The monograph may be of interest to specialists in philosophy, socio-logy, the communication theory and information science.
